Using the Contex Wide Format Scanner
1. Insert your document, face down on scanner, centered on the arrow. It will autofeed.
For items thicker than 1/8", you will need to adjust the height of the upper rollers.
Scanning a board? Swivel the scanner away from the wall, support it in back as it scans.
2. On the Computer Desktop find the Contex Scanning software icon
3. Set your preferences on the Scan Setup tab. Below are our recommendations:
- Scan Preset: None
- Mode: Grayscale or 24-bit Color
- Resolution: 150 (higher is not usually necessary)
- Size: Auto Image Width
Once your scan is configured to your needs, select the green circle, as pictured below.
4. Choose a location to save your file, and click Save. Your scan will begin automatically.
Do not save directly to a USB drive, transfer them from the computer when finished.
